PSMC Awarded CommonWealth Magazine's Corporate Carbon Reduction Thermometer - 1.5℃ Temperature Control Label Certification

 

In June 2024, Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) was awarded the 1.5℃ temperature control label certification by CommonWealth Magazine's "Corporate Carbon Reduction Thermometer". This recognition signifies PSMC's active commitment to carbon reduction, aligning with the Paris Agreement's goal to limit global temperature rise to no more than 1.5℃ by the end of this century. CommonWealth Magazine acknowledges PSMC's dedication to environmental responsibility and its efforts towards achieving net-zero emissions by awarding this certification.

 

This label not only honors PSMC's commitment to carbon reduction but also highlights its significant contribution towards the global goal of limiting temperature rise to no more than 1.5℃. PSMC's involvement strengthens the Taiwanese corporate sector's efforts towards the 1.5℃ target, showcasing Taiwan's corporate commitment to minimizing global warming and demonstrating to the world their dedication to sustainability.

 

The "Corporate Carbon Reduction Thermometer" (TRIPs) is a platform jointly developed by CommonWealth Magazine and Tunghai University to document and reveal the carbon reduction ambitions and paths of various companies.
