PSMC spares no effort in creating a comprehensive learning environment, providing comprehensive education and training programs and multiple learning channels, and cultivating the professional knowledge and skills required by employees through systematic training programs. At the same time, we also encourage our employees to maintain independent learning habits while working. Educational Training Framework |
PSMC has established the “Employee Education and Training Program”, which incorporates the PDCA cycle into the education and training development process. At the end of each year, the management of each department will consider the company's vision and management philosophy, medium- and long-term management strategies and the training needs of each unit, and formulate the education and training plan for the following year. The Human Resources Department acts as the executive unit and is responsible for conducting various physical and online education and training activities, as well as tracking the participation of each employee in the training and recording feedback from the courses, which will serve as the direction for refining the education and training plan for the following year.

The education and training system is centered around the three core areas of “Newcomer Orientation Training”, “Functional Training”, and “Knowledge Inspiration”, which are extended into two major categories of training contents for “new associates” and “on-the job associates”. In order to reduce the adjustment period for new employees, the training content mainly focuses on constructing the basic knowledge of semiconductors, and assisting employees to quickly integrate into the company's operation system and culture through on-the job training (OJT). In order to meet the company's core philosophy of continuous learning for employees, the vocational training area is divided into three categories: professional, management and general education. Based on the employee's academic background, work style and professional functions, the supervisor and the employee jointly plan and formulate course combinations for different career stages to provide the most timely and appropriate training assistance programs to inspire the employee's long-term goal of lifelong learning and self-development

The starting wage of employees holding entry-level position does not differ according to gender. An Employee Welfare Committee has been established to provide or sponsor various welfare programs. Salary System |
PSMC’s remuneration system is based on the principle of fairness and reasonableness. Employee’s salaries are higher than the minimum wage set by the government, and we have an incentive bonus program based on performance, not on race, socioeconomic status, language, ideology, religion, party affiliation, native place, place of birth, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, appearance, facial features, disability, zodiac signs, blood type, or previous union membership.

Unpaid Parental Leave for Raising Children |
PSMC has established “Procedures for Unpaid Parental Leave Application.” Employees who have been employed for more than 6 months and have a child below the age of 3 may apply for unpaid parental leave for raising their children. Both the reinstatement and retention rates have been stable.

PSMC encourages its employees to establish clubs and societies to organize social activities that foster a common interest among co-workers and expand networking. The inclination and willingness to take part in these clubs and societies are rising every year. At the moment, there are 16 clubs and societies in the Company. The Welfare Committee has provided subsidies to the clubs and societies. Further, when they represent the Company in external competitions and win, they will receive extra allowances.

PSMC organizes a wide variety of cultural and art appreciation activities each year, including family theaters and talks given by celebrities. However, due to COVID-19, we did not hold private theater activities with more than 1,000 people, but continued to hold art and cultural lectures in the Company last year.
