PSMC spares no effort in creating a comprehensive learning environment, providing comprehensive education and training programs and multiple learning channels, and cultivating the professional knowledge and skills required by employees through systematic training programs. At the same time, we also encourage our employees to maintain independent learning habits while working. Through the establishment of online learning resources and the provision of statutory professional certification examinations and on-the-job training subsidies, we create a work environment for continuous learning and innovation, allowing employees to continuously develop their functions and stimulate their potential, thereby enhancing their performance standards and company operational efficiency.

PSMC has established the “Employee Education and Training Program”, which incorporates the PDCA cycle into the education and training development process. At the end of each year, the management of each department will consider the company's vision and management philosophy, medium- and long-term management strategies and the training needs of each unit, and formulate the education and training plan for the following year. The Human Resources Department acts as the executive unit and is responsible for conducting various physical and online education and training activities, as well as tracking the participation of each employee in the training and recording feedback from the courses, which will serve as the direction for refining the education and training plan for the following year.

The education and training system is centered around the three core areas of “Newcomer Orientation Training”, “Functional Training”, and “Knowledge Inspiration”, which are extended into two major categories of training contents for “new associates” and “on-the job associates”. In order to reduce the adjustment period for new employees, the training content mainly focuses on constructing the basic knowledge of semiconductors, and assisting employees to quickly integrate into the company's operation system and culture through on-the job training (OJT). In order to meet the company's core philosophy of continuous learning for employees, the vocational training area is divided into three categories: professional, management and general education. Based on the employee's academic background, work style and professional functions, the supervisor and the employee jointly plan and formulate course combinations for different career stages to provide the most timely and appropriate training assistance programs to inspire the employee's long-term goal of lifelong learning and self-development

By utilizing training resources inside and outside the Company to plan an exclusive training web page, we provide our colleagues access to the latest information to learn quickly via diverse learning channels.

• When new employees arrive, PSMC starts conducting training courses regarding human rights, such as employee rights, environmental safety, information security, and Labor Standards Act. In the process of talent development and nurture, we explore organizational and personnel needs persistently. Gender discrimination is not tolerated. The Company consistently makes reviews and gradually develops various training courses to improve the knowledge and skills that employees need for their career development.
• In order for employees to comply with ethical standards when conducting business and for our stakeholders to understand the Company’s ethical standards, PSMC has specially formulated the “Professional Rules” and “Code for Business Gifts and Hospitality”. We explain the principles of integrity to the new recruits when we carry out the training before they start work. They should faithfully execute all Company businesses and are forbidden to have any improper engagement with other manufacturers. Emails and the Company’s website are used to promote anti-corruption and integrity business. These rules are what help the Company fulfill social responsibilities and operate with integrity.
• Apart from providing relevant information from time to time on counseling, emotion and stress management, improvement of communication to strengthen the employees' awareness on mental health, the Employee Relations Department has also established an employee caring web page and issued a response mechanism to provide the mental support and assistance that the employees need.
• PSMC has also established an employee care and counseling mechanism. When employees encounter psychological, social and communication, or response management issues, they can seek out their supervisors and the Employee Relations Department for assistance or a referral service for counseling.
  Each year, every PSMC employee is entitled to five free counseling sessions.
• PSMC fully subsidizes the relevant training expenses for colleagues who need to obtain legal certificates. In addition, if any employee needs to have advanced education, they can also submit relevant applications in accordance with the "Further Education Measures".
• In 2021, in addition to the human rights-related policy promotion content in the training for new employees, PSMC also conducted a total of six human rights protection-related training courses this year, including "Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics" and "Labor Regulations". There were 16,162 participants in the training, and the proportion of employees receiving training related to human rights policies was 100%. PSMC will continue to focus on human rights protection issues and promote relevant education, training and promotion to raise awareness of human rights protection.

To look after the employees and secure their standard of living, we offer excellent wages and benefits. The starting wage of employees holding entry-level position does not differ according to gender. An Employee Welfare Committee has been established to provide or sponsor various welfare programs. In addition to providing labor insurance and National Health Insurance to employees, we also offer free or self-paying group insurance, which not only insures the employee, but also their spouses and children, shielding both employees and their families.

PSMC’s remuneration system is based on the principle of fairness and reasonableness. Employee’s salaries are higher than the minimum wage set by the government, and we have an incentive bonus program based on performance, not on race, socioeconomic status, language, ideology, religion, party affiliation, native place, place of birth, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, appearance, facial features, disability, zodiac signs, blood type, or previous union membership.

PSMC has established “Procedures for Unpaid Parental Leave Application.” Employees who have been employed for more than 6 months and have a child below the age of 3 may apply for unpaid parental leave for raising their children. Both the reinstatement and retention rates have been stable.

We have a multi-purpose sports hall which includes a basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, pool tables and table tennis tables; a gymnasium is also equipped and so are dance room and karaoke lounge and media room; These facilities are provided to encourage employees to cultivate a sporting habit.

PSMC encourages its employees to establish clubs and societies to organize social activities that foster a common interest among co-workers and expand networking.
